2. The Role

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and driven Salesforce Technical Lead to be part of our Australian and New Zealand Salesforce Consulting team.

The successful candidate will be a pivotal member of the presales and implementation teams designing technical solutions with clients. Therefore, having Salesforce platform knowledge and experience is essential requirement for the role to ensure our clients are presented and delivered a simple, effective, and user-friendly solutions.

You will work across a range of industries gaining invaluable knowledge that will help you to understand the different client’s business requirements. As well as direct client engagement you will collaborate with teams’ members including Account Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Software Developers and Quality Assurance Engineers to understand and deliver configuration and customisation required to the Salesforce Platform as a team.

4. Key Position Responsibilities

Your responsibility will include the creation of holistic solutions on the Salesforce platform, detailed application design, related documentarian, development, and support of Salesforce related projects. You may need to work in a wide range of technology along with Salesforce for various integrations

  • Hands-on development of solutions on the Salesforce platform.
  • Blueprint the technical design for the Salesforce application considering all the functional, technical, non-functional and integration needs of the application
  • The detailed design of Salesforce projects from inception through production support using of Unified Modelling Language (UML) diagrams, design documentation, and best-practice methodologies
  • Experience in Salesforce (SFDC) CRM with end-to-end implementation experience and Salesforce.com integration experience including different business systems as well as integration tools
  • Candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business unit, ensuring that proper testing is implemented, and performance requirements are closely monitored by working with the development teams.
  • Expertise in managing discoveries, requirement gathering, and scope definition demonstrated through successful delivery of complex projects
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to understand the business requirements and deliver with quality
  • Lead a team of Salesforce developers, provide solutions, technical mentoring, code review, performance tuning and coaching of the development team.
  • Ability to provide technical support to peers and juniors

5. Key Selection Criteria

5.1 Education and Experience

  • 7 plus years of Salesforce experience including a minimum of two years hands on experience as a Salesforce Architecture
  • Experience with environment management, release management, source control, Continuous development, and Continuous Integration (ANT, GitHub, Jenkins, Copado or similar)
  • Undergraduate Degree IT a prerequisite
  • Salesforce certifications is a prerequisite:
    • Administrator
    • App Builder
    • Platform Develop II
    • Experience Cloud
    • Sales Cloud
    • Einstein Analytics and Discover
    • Architecture
  • Work Experience in previous positions to demonstrate work ethic, great attitude to learn and grow and desire a level of progression
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Excellent documentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.

5.2 Technical Skills

  • Strong development and deployment knowledge of Salesforce Lightning Components, Lightning Experience LWC, Lightning Design System, Triggers, Visual Force, Salesforce configurations, Apex classes, APEX Web services, API, AppExchange deployment, Workflow Alerts and Actions, and Approval Workflow
  • Certified in Salesforce products (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Non-Profit Success Pack, Education Data Architecture and Community Cloud)
  • Integration experience using both web-based technologies (Soap, Rest) and Integration/Middleware tools such as Informatica, Jitterbit and MuleSoft
  • Must have hands-on experience demonstrating Salesforce functions and features
  • Perform analysis with key stakeholders to determine the project scope
  • Experienced in the use of Agile development ways of working
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and Jira
